Frequently Asked Questions
For Future Clients
If I want to make an appointment with Dr. Branch, how should I do that?
You are taking a step in supporting your mental heath, which is wonderful! It is one of the most rewarding investments we can make in ourselves. The first step is going to be having a phone consultation with Dr. Branch. The best way to initiate this process is by using the New Client Consultation Request Form on the Contact page of this website. Usually Dr. Branch will email you back within one week to coordinate a brief phone consultation call to make sure she can provide what you are needing. At this point, Dr. Branch will either schedule you (or add you to her waiting list if the schedule is full) or, if she believes that another therapist would better suit your needs at this time, she will provide referrals for you.
If I want to be an individual client and use my insurance, can I do that? How can I find out?
Dr. Branch is able to take insurance by partnering with Headway (headway.co), a client-focused insurance billing company that helps both therapists and clients navigate the complex maze of health insurance. They are helping to make services more accessible by supporting clients and therapists on the billing side of things, so insurance can be used more effectively. They do not charge anything extra for this service. To find out if your insurance is in-network with Dr. Branch, please create yourself an account with Headway (link above) and enter your insurance information. They will do a free benefits verification, which does not obligate you to anything further with them or with Dr. Branch. This will preliminarily determine whether all or any part of your sessions with Dr. Branch would be covered by your insurance. Using the word "preliminarily" because insurance can be a maze, and there are rare instances in which coverage seems to be there but is later determined not to be. Headway will explain this further after you create your account with them.

Click "I'M AN EXISTING CLIENT"
Enter your email and follow the prompts to get logged in to your client portal where you will find all the required intake forms you'll need to electronically sign or fill out before your first session. It is best if these are completed by the day before your scheduled appointment so Dr. Branch has time to fully review and read the information that you provided.
If you are using insurance for your sessions, you'll also have to set up a Headway account. Headway is a completely separate company that enables you to use your insurance (Aetna, United, Oscar, Optum) for visits by submitting the claims on behalf of you and Dr. Branch, at no additional cost to you. There are consent forms, an insurance information form, and a payment method that will need to be completed in your headway.co account prior to your first visit with Dr. Branch.
